Design Philosophy
Doggie Bed
We have designed the interior layout to suit those who like to travel with the Canine (and Feline) Companions in mind. So, Rolo Features a drop down dog bed, that can be safely put away when not needed. There is even a net to keep your favourite pooch safely stowed away whilst you are driving.
Clean Paws
To help keep our Four-legged friend clean, we have an outside shower. With Hot and cold Water available, your best friend can be spruced up before jumping back into the Van. Great for washing your boots too.
Gasless travels
For a number of good reasons, environmental, practical and Economic, we have designed Rolo to be run without the need for Gas.
Heating is provided by an efficient Diesel Heater that draws fuel directly from the Main Tank. When the heater is running, it can also be used to Heat the Water.
The Electrics are provided by a large Lithium-Iron battery Bank which runs all the Vans Electrics, including the Induction Hob, Kettle, Air Fryer, Fridge and all the Lights and USB Sockets.
There is also the ability to heat the Water from the Electrical System.
The Battery Bank can be charged whilst you drive, by the roof Mounted Solar Panels and by using the Campsite Hook-up on the Rear.
The full system is controlled via the panel inside the Van which give an indication of charge and how long before charging is necessary.
Eat out or camp out
Its good to have options when you travel, so you can either Roll out the Roof Awning and eat alfresco with the provided Table and Chairs.
Or, if the weather isn't too clever, then Rolo has a neat slide out Table with Chairs, that makes dining a cinch
Alternatively, you may opt for one of Scotland's Fabulous Eateries all across the Region
Be a Masterchef
If you do opt to stay in and Cook, then we have tried to make as easy as possible. There is plenty of Storage with an ample Fridge (80 litre), under counter Cupboards, horizontal and vertical Drawer units and some higher level cupboards as well.
Cooking is done by either the dual induction Hob or Air Fryer, or both. There is also a Grill Plate for the occasional 'cheeky' toastie!
There is a large Glass lidded Sink, serviced by a Hot and cold Water Fed Tap.
Clean Water comes from the Main 60 litre onboard Tank and leaves via the 55 litre Grey Water Tank. The hot Water is heated in separate 5 litre tank fed from the main water Tank.
Finally, the Roof mounted Fan can be set to 'extract' to help remove unwanted cooking smells.
And so to Bed!
We wanted to make the Bed as large as possible but without compromising on Space when not in use. The result is a Sliding Bed that doubles as a Sofa/Day Bed when not extended. The Bed is 1.8m long and slides out to 1.5m wide, so is big enough for most of our visitors. Another great feature, is the Skylight above the Bed. Pop open the hatch and you have your very own Observation Platform, great for checking out the Scenery or the the Night Sky
Easy Driver
Rolo is based on the Popular Citroen Relay Van Chassis. He is just under 6m long, so isn't so big that you can't access all areas. Six Speed Manual Gearbox, Air Conditioning, Cruise control, Electric windows and so on, he features many of the things you would expect in your Family Car. Sitting high up, you do get as commanding view of the road Ahead. Finally, the Passenger seat can swivel, so when used with the accompanying Swivel Table it creates a functional workspace.
